I need to get a glaucoma test. Can this just be done at a shop that sells eyeglasses or do I need to go to a specialist? If the latter, can someone make a recommendation? Thank you.

Hi,
As far as I know, only an ophtalmologiste (doctor) can test your ocular pressure, not only a eyeglasses seller.
Most eyes doctors have a 3-months waiting list ... So you should better try one of the following specialists, depending on the emergency of your test.

Hi:
Should this medical advice is important to you and somewhat urgent you can also call to the Hospital and check with in-house ophtalmologist.
Explain your worries to the medical secretary and they will usually try to get you a next-to-come appointment without waiting for weeks...

Thank you. It's not urgent and I got an appointment at an opthalmologist in Ferney for next week. I live in France and don't have Geneva coverage anyway. :)

My advice was valid for the Hospital in France as well and medical examination fee is controlled in a public place, so you should also check how much the private ophtalmologist would charge you just in case.
