Glove box Handle for convertible GOLF 4

I am looking for a car item: a handle for Glove Box handle for a Convertible GOLF 4, cream colour. The inside of the car is of cream colour, so it is difficult to mix match with a dark colour.

Volkwagen does NOT produce this item any longer - it was exclusively produced for the Convertible GOLF 4 built between 1997-2002.

It is difficult to find the same car (i.e. similar colours) of the same years that would be "dying" somewhere.

Any idea where/how I could find THIS cheap second hand item for such an old car, in Feneva or Pays de Gex? Bearing in mind that these sort of cars is hardly found crashed.

Have you tried 3D printing technique? You would need to buy what's available in dark colour and have it reproduced in a cream colour.

i had not thought about this at all. A friend of mine suggested finding that item and 'repaint' it with a spray (Cream or silver colour so I do not end up with a patchwork style) :)

The most difficult bit is to find that item itself.

The biggest 2nd hand car parts place I know in Geneva is in Vernier, Route du Bois de Bay, website here which has an online parts search function: http://www.demol-auto.ch/

I have never bought from there so can't give direct experience but I drive past on the way to my workshop and their site is massive.
