Hi Everyone! I just moved here from London and am looking forward to getting settled here. I've been practicing yoga and dancing for many years now, and would love to continue that here. Can anyone recommend a good studio for either?

Dear Noa,
I go to Dance Area. I do Jazz Modern - really good. Modern dance and classical dance were good as well.
http://www.dancearea.ch/
For yoga i go to 2:
- Sivananda yoga center - at the end of rue de Carouge www.sivananda.org/geneva/
- Innercityoga www.innercityoga.com/
1st is more authentic style with extensive breath exercises, cheaper
2nd is more expat version (though instructors are very good), more expensive
welcome to Geneva!

Hi Noa,
Welcome to Geneva! The reviews of Inner City are accurate, I hear also that Soluna is very good. There is a glocals yoga group you can join where independent teachers post details of their classes and events, just search on the 'groups' page.
Re dance, there's nothing like Pineapple here - sadly! I'm looking out for places too so do let us know how the local places compare to London dance.

an interesting yoga center with lots of visiting events...
I was a part of the San Francisco dance scene and echo the comment above that sadly Geneva is not comparable as far as I have seen...but there are great things under the surface once you make the connections - good luck with your search!

Hey Noa,
Welcome to Geneva! Big chance from the Big Smoke...
For Yoga: innercityoga is the place I'd check out first. Great facilities and teachers, and lots of expats around.
Enjoy the downward facing dog!
