I'm new to Geneva too and wondered the same. There doesn't seem to be much of a night life here. Let me know if you find any! 

There isn't compared to the UK - just bars and a few nightclubs ;-)

Have a look at The Club House in Paquais or Mulligans Irish bar they have live bands that play...check there websites. The Club House has a great social atmosphere especially when there are big rugby matches on...awesome. Otherwise, try Soleil Rouge for a good after work bar. And when the sun shines the GC bar next to Grange Canal tram stop has a brand new and buzzing beer garden after work. See lots of places to go. Enjoy, A

- Brasseur des Grottes (pub on ground floor, with kind of night club in the
   basement), salsa nights, jam session, blues, concerts
