@Maria_ Definately keep us updated on your little pooch and how things go... OH and I are finally looking into getting a dog and it would be helpful to read about others experiences about owning a dog in Geneva.

@casuistik That is terrible, you should be ashamed of yourself haha :)

I wouldn't leave the dog in the car alone...

there are belts for dogs when he's with you in the car, quite useful cause he doesn't move while you're driving!

good luck ;0)

Update: Dogs dont go to the toilet where they sleep. End of story. We had him in the car for an hour while we were driving and was fine. As soon as i got him down.. well you can imagine :P

Also he is happy to stay in the car by himself. Vet said just leave him there like its no big deal (no goodbyes or hellos) and he will get used to it. And he has :)

@Carla I wouldnt leave a dog in the car alone either in the summer. But its winter now so for small periods of time like 20-30 min its ok. The vet also said ok. Dont worry he has his bed and his toys and most of the times he is asleep so its Ok.
