Hi everybody,


 


i'm an italian musician, guitar player and singer, i love folk and rock and also play a bit of blues and i love Irish traditional music as well.


I'll be in Geneva by April 15 or later and i'm looking for an acoustic guitar player (or bass player) / singer (better if female) to make a duo and fit with my repertoire i have as one man band: Songs by Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Counting Crows, Sting, The Rolling stones, Creedence clearwater, Van Morrison, Eddie Vedder, Damien Rice and other stuff from 60s and 70s or even more recent and some songs of mine too. In case i find a Female singer/player the idea is to add songs for a female voice.


Apart from this project i'd like to meet musicians to jam together, know each other and make any kind of exchange in music. I'd like to meet someone who plays traditional instruments too, such as fiddle, flute, whistle, accordion to make traditional Irish sessions and find some pubs to perform in a traditional way.


Anyway i'm willing to consider any other kind of partnership with other musicians; I play acoustic and electric and some dobro stuff too.

I am Chiara and I am Italian too.


I do a bit of guitar playing, I have an acoustic folk guitar and I like to play the same kind of music you do but I  could not be able to actually play in a band and I am not a musician, anyway I am glad you are joining the Geneva Glocals and maybe we will catch up sometimes.

I'm also looking to play guitar, swap songs, sing a bit, but not be a band...a gig perhaps.  Ideal for me would be for Friday evening get-togethers at someone's place....


Does this suit you guys?

I live between geneva and a small mountain village where I withdraw in the week ends so I am usually not in Geneva on a Friday night, BUT I may stay if we decide to try and play.


I am quite shy to play with others but I would like to give it a try. I would need to know the songs in advance so I can rehearse.

Ciao Dario,


mi chiamo Astrid e anch'io sono italiana. Suono l'acustica,  fingepicking style (tecnica di Jorma Kaukonen, Doc Watson etc..)  mi piacciono gli artisti che hai elencato e adoro la musica irlandese, ma no l'ho mai suonata.


Mi piacerebbe suonare in compagnia, ma non molti amano il fingerpicking... se ti interessa fatti sentire.

I'll probably come to Geneva in about 10 days, i had to delay due to work matters; i'd love to meet all of you to have fun playin' together and maybe find out there could be something more; any chance to make music together for any purpose is welcome... I'm just the other side of St Julien, so not far.  Chiara and Astrid, we can play if you like?  Either at my place (Pays de Gex, Challex - you need a car), or at yours.  Next Friday (10th May, 8.30pm) is good for me; if we start then it's happening!!

Hi everybody,


I am not sure that you are still around Geneva Dario, I play tenor and alto saxophone and I live in Nyon, if you are interested, so not too far from Geneva.


I am used to play blues and jazz but I like Dire Straits and I would love to play also other style of music.


I can also speak italian.
