I'm thinking of ditching the gym's membership and buy some of the parts for home. Can someone suggest me a good place to buy fitness items...which are affordable.

I would think as a starting point you could look at Go Sport in France. (Thoiry or Etrembiere) We have purchased dumbells from them and if I remember they were not that expensive.

Go Sport is ok, also Decathlon near Annemasse or Fitness Boutique, Neydens.
