Very very hard to get in. But try to look through the club rankings and contact individually the coaches.

Since 2002 I play football at US Colorado. We have only 3 teams, one in 5e league, one for +30 years and one team for +40 years, who play on half of the pitch, 7 against 7. Our training sessions and home games we play at Bout-du-Monde or Vessy , close to Carouge. Feel free to come and join. As we play official league, you need to get member to play official games and assure that you're present for the training and games. The fee is only CHF 200.- a year. The +30 and +40 teams play their games on Thursday or Friday night. Our 5e league team play their games on Sunday. If you want to try some training sessions, don't worry we won't charge immediate! During winter time, we have a weekly indoor traing session in Chêne-Bourg. Please check our website www.uscolorado.ch. We are not an expat club, however our goal is to get as much as possible different nationalities as member of our club, but we remain French speaking. We like football and also the third half!!!! Please don't hesitate to contact us, if you want to play football and learn French at the same time! I'm a member of the club's comitee, my number is 078-7354072.

There are friendly Football matches posted on the glocals Things to Do section every week.

Just contact the posters and see if you can join or ask them about finding a pitch.

Oded is right, regularly there are posts of groups, organising football/soccer meetings, which I joined several times at Grand-Donzel, out of season of my own club, much fun! However to have a pitch lightned, only option is to join an official club. The sportsparks are not willing to light up a pitch for 'some people' playing football. Official clubs pay for this, and have negociated fixed timesheets on forehand. So if you want to play football on a regular base (training and games), my club need members for our +30 and +40 teams, so please be welcome to join. No need to have the looks of Beckham, similar skills are much appreciated Cool,. Please contact on 078-7354072 or website www.uscolorado.ch.

P.S.Unfortunately our club is small, we don't have children or women teams. Please check www.acgf.ch for clubs. In Geneva there are many clubs having great teams, with professional coaches for children and girls/women!!!

Hi Jack B,

I,m also keen for a regular football game, the US colorado website does not seem to detail when/where you practice (or i couldnt find it)? I do not play to a particulary high standard.  It would be good to get an idea of the standard at your club and if it is too high for me or not.  I,m 39 yrs old, so potentially almost ripe for the over 40,s :-)

Ive tried once or twice signing up for games organised informally on glocals, but they already had enough players, also, seem to have tailed off now that summer is over

Hi Jack,

Is there any team in your club that a 27 year old could play for? :)

Thanks in advance,

Daire

Welcome – and have a look at “Groups” and “Things to do”.
