Hedgehog as a pet in Geneva?

It might be a silly idea but I want to have a hedgehog as a pet. I live in Geneva, and found out that it is illegal to keep a wild hedgehog as a pet. So I went to a pet shop asking if they breed specific kind of hedgehog for pets. Their answer was that it is forbidden to breed or sell one.

However, when I searched online, although it is illegal to keep "European hedgehogs" (same kind as wild ones) as pets, it is allowed to have "African Pygmy Hedgehogs" which are sold widely in pet shops in many parts of Europe.

Can anyone tell me if there is a way I can have a hedgehog as a pet in Geneva?

Thank you in advance for your kind attention Wink
