Help to locate an abandoned industrial structure

Hi, am looking for an abandoned industrial structure such as an old factory, mill or warehouse around or close to Geneva for a video and photo series am working on at the moment. An abandoned house or barn could also be suitable. The key thing should be that it is a place I can easily have un-restricted access to.

Could someone advice where I could find and have access to such a structure?

Thanks for your help.

Hi, there.  Try down by the junction of the two rivers, after the bus station. There are some structures there. I don't think they are completely abandoned but they might be useful for your project...

Usine Kugler in Jonction was just officially (re)opened last week. It's now occupied by artists etc. A lot of it has been refurbed but it would still be worth a look around.

On similar lines there are artist's workshops in the 'Vélodrome' complex just off Carl Vogt.

Otherwise, clearly most closed factories etc will be off limits to the public.

Thanks Translator and Nicolas, I will check out these suggestions. Nicolas, awhile back (maybe early last year) I had been to Usine Kugler and spoke to a few people (at the office) who told me that the spaces were already allocated to specific people and that they would get back to me concerning temporary usage.. they never did and I got same promise in 4 follow up visits. Eventually I thought they were just lacking the proper way to say NO to me:-( But I will try again.

Depending on what sort of usage you're looking for, say a photo-shoot, maybe you could negotiate, the associations that run places like kugler are partly state funded and they should at least be helpful.

Have a look at the vélodrome too. Also there's another old factory on corner of rue de Lyon / Franchises, upstairs is used for small office/workshops and the ground floor for car parking, have a look at it (don't know who runs it but I can find out if needs be).
