Hiking the West Highland Way

Hi,

I'm just back from Scotland and had the opportunity to walk the two first stages of the WHW (~150 km in total), from Milngavie to Rowardennan (~45 km) only, as my trip planning did not allow me to walk more than two days.

It's an absolutely stunning hike, beautiful and breathtaking scenery, and the weather was like summer, sunshine almost non-stop.

I cannot wait to go back and make the whole Way, maybe May 2019, as getting an accommodation each night needs to plan months in advance. I'll probably choose B&B or hotel, but intend to camp a few nights. Planning to make it in 6-8 days.

The Way is not very technical in itself, not much elevation difference, but some parts are pretty tough, in particular the Loch Lomond shore. Your worst enemy will be blisters, midges and the weight of your backpack.

There is also the possibility to use luggage transfer, which is great when you have an extra suitcase and/or camping gear.

Anyway, was wondering if someone would be interested to join or share past experience ?
