Does anyone know where I can hire a man and van?
I don't need anything big, I basically just want to go and collect some stuff from Ikea.
If anybody knows someone who does small removals professionally, that would be great, but also if anyone has a small van and some free time to pick some stuff- and me! from Ikea one day.give me an email and we can agree on a price!

Did you consider having your stuff delivered ? IKEA does it, and I may even be cheaper than your man + van.
For delivery within a radius of 30 minutes by car from a store (zone 1), we charge 10% of the value of the goods, min. CHF 95 .- max. CHF 500 .-. If the place of delivery is beyond the 30-minute drive from a store (zone 2), 16% of the value of the goods, min. CHF 95 .- max. CHF 500 .-.
And you do not have to carry anything...

Thanks guys! the problem with renting an Ikea van-is that I don't actually drive and the problem with ikea deliveries is that there is a delay of two to three weeks!I just wanted to get it done sooner.But Thank you for the suggestions.

Hi Anne, I have the number of a guy who has already delivered a couple of things for me. I was hoping to book him this Saturday for a trip to Ikea but he's not available. I have a number for another "man with a van" but it might be too late now to get him for Saturday. How's your French? Mine's appalling so I've been putting off ringing him. However, if he is available Saturday, we could share the van? If he can't do it, I'm going to try to book the first chap again for the following Saturday.

I also have the number of J. Michel: 079 353 8538. I believe he does alot of deliveries for Caritas so I don't know if he's often available on Saturdays.
