Holme's Place a good gym?

Just checking, am I the only one who believes that Holme's place really needs a make-over??

At least:

- refurbish the locker area... using number locks really is stone age!
- Arrange the terrace - it looks a bit like a building site most of the times.
- Offer more than just a few classes on the week ends..after all this is when we have time!
- The ceiling looks like one form an old dusty office, not that of a luxurious lifestyle club.
- There is a general feel of just barely passing the hygiene test... smell-wise it fails!
- The free weight area is poorly arranged, the weights themselves look dirty!

Overall it does not quite offer the lifestyle feel "where relaxation and wellness are essential ingredients" as it claims on the website.

In conclusion: The membership fees are worldclass, the place itself is not!

Any Holme's place goers who would agree, disagree, partly agree?

Too expensive for what they offer. I changed for Silhouette... They make offer up to 600 CHF for the first year ( offer normally available in September ) and I pay now 800 CHF. It is worth it compare to HOLMES Places....

I left Holmes place, then made the mistake of rejoining. You may as well try to escape the Scientologists, they're a nightmare and I lied to them to say I was leaving the country. Never again.

Exactly what I did - Silhouette can be a bit like a building site as well, but for the money, it seems worth it, plus the fact there's more than one. Any gym in the work is going to be crowded at lunchtimes and there is the downside that they only open at 9am but I'm glad I made the change.

Holmes place here is terrible, I had a membership in Holmes place Budapest and it was a marvelous place, here it's a big let down especially because the equipment is very mediocre compared to prices you must pay to use it.

Silhouette for me has been the best, it's simple, it's not fancy but the crowd there are more down to earth, less show offs and pretensiousness plus it's cheaper, more for your money!

Well, I say all frustrated members write a letter stating their dissatisfaction and send it to Holme's place... if they get their act together and it becomes as good as the Holme's places in other cities it would make for a great gym! Any thoughts?

ok... for a difference - I do like this gym...;) I'm serious and with some prior (including Holmes in a different country) benchmarks...Yes, it's really compact size-wise and yes, it's probably the only place on a planet to pay quite a fee for such a size gym.....yet.... If to complain about the value for money, etc - then  the best is to change the country;)... anyway, group classes are great with quite a choice (whatever your soul likes...), plus they just renovated sauna and steam room  - now it's quite nice... The rest - who cares if terrace is not good enough (are we there for the terrace .. haha...??), and  - well, indeed people do sweat (though aircondi tries hard to help) - but if some really can't stand it - well, just go jogging outside, it's for free;)
