Hi everyone,


I just found out that I got selected for an internship at W.H.O. in Geneva.


The internship will start end of January to middle of June 2013 (20 weeks).


So my questions concerns housing and accomodation.


Do anyone of you know or could advise me how to best rent or find rooms/studios in Geneva not too pricey? 


From what I understand it can be tricky and difficult to find housing in Geneva.


About me: I'm a graduate student from Sweden, finishing my Master's in Public administration. I have two Bachelor degrees prior to this and working experience. I'm very flexible when it comes to roommates and about the facility. 


Please feel free to e-mail me and I will reply asap. I have all the paperwork and certificates to verify my statements.

Hi,


yep, housing is quite big headache here in Geneva. A fully or semi equipped studio will cost you monthly from 700 chf to 1500 chf but still it depends to the location. Better you have

Check out the Classified section here on glocals, there are plenty of rooms available. Email as many as you can and you will find something.

Well, you said "I'm very flexible when it comes to roommates and about the facility" Keep in mind you should familiarize with swiss procedures and check for liabilities when joining in officially as roommate.


Some people found out - the hard way,i.e. too late - they got cornered with paying the rent when their fellow in-the-other-room left before intended termination date, of course without paying his dues on the total rent... So you are informed you need to write some lease in proper form. Check around and beware of hidden costs. Questions? >>My inbox
