I need to sell my car really fast. I have just two days since I'm moving out of the country. I've visited some dealers but they are telling me that they don't buy their used cars from individuals and they refuse to make an offer.
Does anyone happen to know how or where to sell a small used car (4 yrs old) really quickly, at a bargain price (for the buyer)? I'm at a loss at how to get rid of it quickly without scrapping it (it's still in excellent condition).

You can schedule a control in preparation for the sale of a vehicle. It's the seller's responsibility, I believe.

Now I'm on a Google hunt. I know that I've seen that Vaud has a requirement for a recent contrôle when a vehicle changes hands. I can't find it now. grr.

Thanks for your interest. I sold it in the meantime. I found a dealer who made an offer. Less than I was hoping for, and I wish I waited till the evening cos someone on glocals offered a little more. But anyway, it's out of my hands now.
Catalin, I had received a summon for the control periodique last month and had it done last week. I did look it up and in Geneva the first control is when the car just past it's fourth year. Well the log book says it was first registered on 25.3.2009, so there you go.
