How to Inform OCP office that I got my insurance

Hello Geneva Community,

First, I would like to wish you all a happy new year and all the best for 2019.

I started working in Geneva since Sep 2018 and I already got my permit. As such, I was required to find an insurance which I already did and I already started to pay my insurance (I am paying the LAMal on a monthly basis and I had to cover that from the date of my arrival to Geneva).

I was told that OCP ( or maybe another official entity ) will contact me to find out if I found an insurance company otherwise they will find one for me. It's being four months since I started to work here officially but I still didn't get any request to prove that neither from OCP or any other governmental unit. Can you please advice me what to do or whom I should contact regarding that?

U don't have to inform ,they will know .there are big brothers in swizertland :)) and the OCP is one of them .I am joking ya Noura ,I don't know but why don't you go directly to see them directly https://www.ge.ch/organisation/service-assurance-maladie

It says you need to mail them a copy to SAM.

Hi Hesham, I advise you to send a copy of your policy directly to the SAM (service de l'assurance-maladie) You can do that per mail to [email protected].ch
