Hyperchampion in Ferney?
Has anybody been grocery shopping at the Hyperchampion in Ferney-Voltaire in France? I have heard that the prices there are much better than Migros/Coop. Does anyone know how to get there by bus?

Thank you very much!

but you need to know 2 things:
- now that the Euro is so strong (and you pay there in Euros), the price differences are not huge. it used to be about 20% cheaper vs geneva, now it's about 5%.
- you need to pay duties on certain things when crossing back. i am not sure of the rules, but the rule of thumb is that is you buy reasonable things per person, there are no duties. When you start buying large quantities of certain things, you have to pay duties.

On how to get there by bus - not sure, will try to find out.

I heard that with the euro, prices went up of 12% for beauty care products. Meat is still considered a bit cheaper in France.

The usual allowance for groceries is CHF 300 per person, excluding alcohol, which you're only allowed 1-2 litres a pop (not that anyone ever bothers to check).

Thank you very much, everyone! I think I will try it out, at least to compare prices.
