As I understand it, the prices tend to be lower in Switzerland than EU countries for photography equipment, and certain electrical products due to the lower rate of Value Added Tax here on goods.
You may be able to pick up a camera slighly cheaper in somewhere like Media Markt in Carouge or Meyrin, where you will save probably at a guess about 50F (??) on the camera if they have what you want in stock (not been in recently so can't be more precise about that). The person who will sell it to you may not have the knowledge that the staff have in the other specialist shops you mention. Not sure about their policy on returns or repairs, or various problems that may occur. Would think the specialist shops better on that.
