Inclusive Geneva

Dear all,

I moved to Geneva recently with my 9 year old daughter, who has Down syndrome. I was very disappointed to find out that inclusive schools are still not a reality here yet. Amanda has always studied in mainstream environments in Brazil and New York. I imagined that a rich country like Switzerland would be more advanced on inclusion. But we should not be discouraged. Information is hard to get by, but if you do your research and ask the right people, there are many options around - you just have to look for them. I hope my findings are useful for other families. I also hope to hear from people who have tips on inclusive activities for kids, teens and adults with disabilities in Geneva. Hope glocals folks can share and make inclusion a reality!
