Could use advice, i have made the order with swisscom for home internet. They have already checked the name of the previous owner and it was not on their list, meaning swisscom internet must be switched on by an electirician (as they suggested). Is it possible that i would not need an electician after all? There is a definite phone plug at my home....

Bonjour electrician is not mandatory as long as you have the phone and name of the previous person.... the issue is if the electrian does not come there is a risk that they connect to wrong flat with their central and you have to call them 10 times to get your internet...
if you are not in stress try without the electicial normally it should work have a good day

sam ferney Thank you for reply, but i do not have the phone, i suspect i have the phone plug though....
The other thing is that they have send me a txt message with details i should give to an electician. If he is just going to make a phone call on my behalf to give these details and plug the modem in for me, you understand, it's not worth 150 franks, or even more....
So, maybe there is someone who had similar experience? )

I was advised by Swisscom to ring 3 local electricians to do this and pick the cheapest one. There was a definite difference in the prices.
It was a few years ago,so not sure what tarifs are these days.
