Internship in Geneva

Hey all,

I am studying a BA in International Studies focusing on politics. At the same time I'm looking for an internship in Geneva area. Does anyone have experience of the process of getting an internship in a International Organization or NGO? I'm fluent in four languages, including English but not French. If you have any tips, please do share. :)

Thanks.

Amy

Hi Amy,

My piece of advice is not to just focus on getting into an organization, but find someone within the organization with whom you have a personal connection or similar research interest and write directly, asking to intern for them. If they can't do it but are interested in your credentials, they might pass your CV around and you can get in that way.

Don't underestimate the power of the back door! Heck of a lot less competitive than the front.

Cheers,

J
