Re: Is late arrival (23h) at Geneva airport okay?
Post 4
This will probably be one of the latest flights to arrive I would think it should still be do-able by taxi They generally hang around till after the last arrival/departure.
In arrivals the taxi rank is outside directly opposite where you exit customs. If there is not one there, ask at info desk for taxi tel number, or maybe the number is posted at the taxi area..I can’t remember. There is bound to be one somewhere in the neighbourhood nearby
One large taxi firm I have used in the past is Taxiphone if there’s not a taxi there you could get their details from their site and call one. This will be the easiest way to get to your destination late in the evening, the first time you get here
The no. 10 bus is a good route on the way down to downtown Rive
For buses trams trains on other routes, there are late ones how late they run can depend on your destination and day of the week
Look on https://www.tpg.ch to find the best itinerary for you from the airport (Aeroport) to your destination address.
Bear in mind that if you have to change bus/tram at some point the 2 stops may, or may not, be in exactly the same place in downtown Geneva, despite having a same name. For example one could be in an adjacent street to the other.
Ask the bus driver of the 1st bus where the other stop is. Or you can look on the tpg site above selecting ‘voyager’ then ‘Horaires par ligne’ then choose the bus you will take select the name of the stop (arret) he scroll down window and on the bottom right hand side there should be a little map under the heading ‘emplacement[ which shows were the stop is
If you take a train from the airport to Cornavin rail station this will also apply as there are bus stops on 3 sides of the railway station for different buses plus a couple on a nearby main road going up past the station, all called ‘cornavin
