Jewish High Holidays in Geneva!
Is there anything going on for Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur in Geneva?

I am in Geneva for the month, and would like to find out more about what is going on for the high holidays this year! Are there synagogue services? Any kind of celebration? Etc?

I have been traveling a lot lately, and was unable to create plans for this year's holidays. I would love to hear what is going on, and any suggestions people may have!!!

Thanks :-)

Thank you, David! I know where this is, and will ask them about services.

Also, this year I am far away from my family. I was wondering if there are any Jewish families in Geneva that would be open to hosting a guest from out-of-town...

Thanks in advance :-)

HI,

I am in the same situation, I live in Geneva with my partner, we have only been here a year, from Australia,  but have not managed to find anything community wise or families looking for orphans for Rosh Hashana. Have you managed to track anything down?

If not, would you like to come for dinner on Rosh Hashana and we can do it ourselves? (slightly smaller than I am used to but better than nothing!!). We are both 31 and normal and live in Champel.

Cheers Laurian

Hello. You should go to Dumas or Malagnou. The Liberal Community is also very nice and opened for new people arriving in the city. Send me a message. Shanah Tova!

I went in-person to ask about services AND if there are any local families willing to welcome some travelers without family or Jewish friends here...

But thank you for repeatedly referring us posters to the phone number of the congregation.

Point well taken!

Have a nice trip to Montreal...

Too late for Rosh Hashanah, but maybe in time for Yom Kippur, could you tell me a little more about the Liberal Community's services? I come from a very secular background but I'd still like to go to services on Yom Kippur if I can find some place I'll feel a connection with.

Liberal services during the holidays are in the Casino building I think on the Quai de Mont Blanc. You could phone 022-732-3245 for more information.

Thanks for the info. I thought I'd check, as I've found English services in cities with fewer expats/English speakers.

Hello... anyone have info about this now? Basically the same places, or are there other options? Looking online this is the only thing I've found:
