Jiu jitsu - English?

Bonjourrr,

Any chance to find a beginner course in Jiu jitsu where the instructor speaks English? Or where there is less talking in French and more demonstration?

Thanks, Happy new yr!

Bonjour Siddarth,

I'm practicing Ju-Jitsu with the Judo Club Carouge, which I would recommend as a very friendly group.

Although the classes are in French, the class is demonstrative (showing a lot, showing the details as much as requested) and we do have some students who learn French together with the moves. This is not an issue as long as you're motivated to learn in all possible ways!

Maybe if you come at noon rather than evening, you would have more interprets (such as me: lots of current/former bank professionals) available so that you can get the most of it.

I hope this helps.
