Late lunch (after 2pm) in Geneva?

Hi all

Does anyone know where to have late lunch in Geneva?  Some place that is willing to receive orders after 14:00?

I know that Migros Restaurants are open as long as the supermarkets are, but sometimes we'd like to have a nice meal for lunch but just not between 12:00 and 14:00. :)

Would appreciate your insights!

Well, Geneva is a French-speaking city so restaurants operate in a traditional French manner.  And in many families, lunch is at 12 noon and don’t you dare be late.

However, some suggestions for a later lunch are the Café du Centre on place Molard, “Les Armures” in the Old Town, the Spaghetti Factory in rue de la Fontaine and the big hotels, of course.

Bon ap.! R.

Wow....  Thanks, meiling and Ritchie!  I never realized that there were that many that would be willing to provide late lunch! Will try one out tomorrow (since we definitely will need one tomorrow...*sigh*).

For others, if there are some other info, pls don't hesitate to add it here...  There will always be a time when we are so caught up in work or shopping or other things that we miss lunch time. Then the list will continue to be useful in this French-cultured city! Smile

There are also lots of cafés in Pâquis, Eaux-Vives and around Cornavin that will rustle up a good hot meal if you ask them.  The “plat du jour” may be gone but the staples should still be available. R.
