I just used it last week with garage (details below), and I know of a friend who used them (with success) in a claim against her ex employer.
Here's how I used them:
- I got my car fixed at a new garage last week.
- When I came to pick up the car from the garage (it was there overnight), I saw it had an extra 150 KM on the clock!
- I asked the owner what happended, and he claimed I had the numbers wrong.
- I spoke with my legal protection insurance, and their lawyer wrote to the garage (a real scary letter, even I was scared!)
- As soon as the garage got it, they folded, and claimed a stray emplyee took the car, and that they'll compensate me. So just the fact of having this insurance can help. And if the case would have gotten to court, I would have really saved a lot of money.
Net, recommended.

They have a number of different insurance products. Including anything associated with driving as well as basic legal insurance.
Here is the legal insurance one:

Good luck in going up against the big boys!
Your case is specific, and I would consult with an expert on which Legal Insurance company to use fro it. I can strongly recommend our own insurance broker, who has an overview of all the Legal Insurance firms out there and who can give you free good advice:

Good luck!

Hi Isa413, thanks for sharing the details. Always good to be prepared as much as one can. Our case it's a little bit complicated, and we have already asked a laywer to look into the details. But on the other side, we haven't got good news from the insurance yet, i.e. will or how they can help...:(

- Yes, assista is good, and be careful not to get 2 legal insurance, many people do without knowing.
- Most of the companies are more or less the same for this. I have a contract with generali, they do something quite good, you can ask some questions without having to fill a case, if it's just for a little thing you need to know it's useful. I luckily never had to use it so far, but I'm quite happy to spend these 335 chf a year for nothing ;)
- It will not cover you for a case you already have, or a case that you know will happen.
- it will not cover you for familly law things. So no, taking a legal insurance then telling your wife you want to divorce will not help you.
