Live in France, work in Geneva - what mobile?
Hello,

I will be living in Thoiry and working in Grand-Saconnex. What would be the best mobile phone provider? The ideal situation would be, I assume, that the provider, either French or Swiss, would have a signal strong enough to work in both locations.

In addition, I would need an ADSL in Thoiry without too long a commitment. What would be the best solution? Language is no issue, as I'm fluent in French.

Thanks for your expert opinions,

DS

Orange France has a strong signal in some places in Switzerland, ex. where I live (Nyon), I don't know about Grand Saconnex.

I picked up a Yallo phone in Geneva and it works fine in Thoiry. BTW, the French mobile phone market is utterly confusing.

When I lived in Thoiry, I was able to use my Swiss sunrise chip. As I worked in Geneva and made most of my calls to Swiss numbers, this system made sense for me.
