Long term parking in Geneva.

Hi,

I live in Geneva from a while and at my office they have a huge parking where I left my car for long staiyng. I use the car mostly in the weekends, while during the week is more easy for me to use the public transport. But, from the end of the month, they will close the parking becasue of works and I will need to find another parking where to leave my car. In the city center the long term parking is really expensive, and I was wondering if I can find other options, maybe in some other areas of the city or in France. Does any of you have experience with that?

There is still some free (although I have not verified this for at least 18 months), on road parking on route de servette, just before you get to the airport area.

If you have a permit you can park on the street inside the blue zone. You can pretty much leave the car there as long as you like.

The risk is that one day there is some construction or a moving truck coming, and the city temporily removes the permission. Then your car will be towed.
