Long-term parking in Geneva

Hi, does anybody know a good cheap (or even free) place to park a car for a few weeks in or near Geneva? I'm buying a car (privately) and so will have two cars until I can sell the old one, but only have one parking space at my apartment.

I've got a wanted ad in the classifieds for a parking space for a few weeks in Champel, but if I don't find anything through that are there streets in Geneva where you can park for days at a time without a Macaron?

Thanks!

The best is indeed to find an individual who can rent you their parking for a while, that's likely to be cheapest.

If that doesn't work:

1. The airport's long term parking (P1) is CHF 180 for 2 weeks: http://www.gva.ch/en/desktopdefault.aspx/tabid-65/

2. Walk into any small car dealership (not the big official ones), and ask them how much they'll want for letting you leave your car there. A friend did this a while back at CHF 200 cash per month, although he had to commit to not move it during that time (cos moving it would have meant shuffling other parked cars)
