Hi,

Does anyone know of any Ballet Classes for adults in Geneva? I am looking for a fairly high level as I studied a lot when I was younger, but now just want to do classes for fun.

Lindsey,

I know that one of the best Geneva ballet school is L'imprimeri, and their site is in English: http://www.ecolededansedegeneve.com/school/aclassiqueeng.html

I know they also have top English speaking teachers.

However, I saw they only regular classes for levels up to intermediate. I suggest you contact them anyway, and ask for advice. I am sure they can refer you to the right teachers.

And pls don't forget to invite us to your show...:)

Hello everyone, I finally found a dance studio (just renovated) where I will give ballet classes on Monday from 18:00 - 19:30 and stretching classes on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00, starting the 10th of March.

The classes will be in English and French and are for everyone who would like to get into better shape, gain strength, increase flexibility and improve the ability to remember step sequences in a friendly atmosphere.

The ballet classes are geared to adults who have a passion for dance, preferably those who already have a good knowledge of ballet steps and vocabulary.

The stretching classes are open to all.

The location is close to Jonction:
Workshop Dance Studio Amaltea
Rue du velodrome 14
entrance close to the Avia gas station garage

Hi Beat,

I am very glad to have you in class on monday, cost per class will be 25 chf, if you buy a pack of 10 classes it will be 20 chf per class.

After trying out several schools I ended up at Dance Area doing ballet for adults. Our teacher Melanie is exactly what you need when you start late: She is patient and nice.

Btw: very nice location (not the usual Geneva style if I may say so).

thanks for the tip about the Dance Area doing ballets for adults... even though I attended the last Monday to the Marina's ballet class and I enjoyed it very much :-)
