Looking for Dutch speaking children and parents

Hello,

I am the mom of a little boy of nearly two. I speak Dutch with him and would like to find, or set up a play group with other Dutch children.

Also, I would like to talk with other parents who are considering what options there are for supporting their children in learning Dutch here in the Geneva area; what school options they are considering or have found.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi elke,

Contact also the dutch club  http://www.nvg.ch/

End of april there are the annual celebrations of Koninginnedag in Onex - there will be many young dutch children and parents around.

Kind regards,

Groetjes

Hi Elke and Jasper,

Any other info wat betreft NL en kinderen in Geneva is erg welkom.

Ik weet dat de post lang geleden is maar ik probeer het toch :)

Groetjes,

Linda

Hi Linda,

Did you try out the nvg ? that's the best start for dutch speaking families.

Then another thing, about the (english speaking) coffee club, you can start one yourself, fully in the spirit of glocals.

If you want more talk in dutch, send me a pm

Hi Linda,

I don't know how old your son is but my children have two hours of Dutch lessons every week via the NTC (www.ntcgeneve.info). The lessons are focused on language and culture.

They organise lots of extracurricular activities such as Sinterklaas and Koningsdag and for that they are dependent on volunteering parents. So it is a nice way to get to know other Dutch families!

Cheers,

Corrina

Hi Linda and all,

Thanks for the post. We are also eager to meet with Dutch-speaking parents and their children. I have a 14-month old boy who hears Dutch from his father but it would be very nice to hear other people speaking Dutch as well.

If you are interested in having a little meet-up please send me a pm or email me at [email protected]. Het kan gewoon in het NL :)

Best,

Ela.

Hi All,

Thanks a mill for all the posts.

I will be investigating a bit more and see what I can find.

I tried to contact NVG but they did not reply. I will try again.

I have a 2 year old boy, so I think for those classes he is too young, but hopefully in the future.

Ela. I have sent you a PM :)

Let mke know if you ever want to meet with the kids :)

Groetjes,
