Looking for PR or general help/advice on marketing a small conference in Geneva

Hi all,

I am helping out a friend who is also living here in Geneva, she is a certified coach and is beginning her path on producing conferences for the general public that is interested in "living a better life".

Her business etc has all be certified and set up but now it comes down to finding a venue, marketing and promotion for her first conference. Looking to hold it one weeked in October. We have managed to find a few venues but responses have been slow to almost nothing. I sometimes do wonder if companies don't require business these days!

Basically, I am just asking around to see if anyone can help out or give any sort of advice on promoting such an event here in Geneva or how to go about it.

Originally from London, I know how to work different avenues there as its always about who you know rather than what you know.

Her conferences are to last 2 hours and will be done in English so has a specific target at the moment.

Any help or advice on showing us roads to walk down would be much appreciated!

Thanks all.
