Looking for Recommendations for a short spring trip
Dear all,

We have a couple of friends coming over the last weekend of May. As we plan to take them to some nice Swiss place but do not have many ideas ourselves as we are rather "fresh" in Gen?ve, we are open for any suggestion of a nice place to go. What are we looking for : accomodation for 4 adults + 3 small kids (one baby), nature-small animals/little zoo- little water (walking with
trolleys....in flowered spring fields ?), possibility to enjoy a breakfast and one prepared hot meal, by preference in Switzerland but any French tip will do, moderate price. We want to read your personal experiences. Thanks a lot for your input.

of farms in CH. It's actually a great experience and suitable for Spring. You have formulas of bed and breakfast (all farmer products), you can milk the cows in the morning, learn how to prepare cheese, go for walks in the fields, etc. Could be very nice.

You will have a hard time going wrong there, almost where ever you go.

I was in Lugano. It's about a 5 hour drive (if I remember corectly), and a nice one by itself. when you're there, it's a different world (not only a different language). You can visit the city itself, or head out to the countries many B&B places. All around is real country stuff, full of trees and water. Do not remember specific places, sorry, but just that all around it was so beutiful...

enjoy the trip...

go the the Bains de Lavey ... the village is really really cute, surrounded by mountain, the daily access to the spa not expensive at all (and great for kids as well) and it;s really really amazing :) the scenery, the facilities etc...
worth it :)

is a really cute little town, one hour away. People from out of town love it. No zoo, but nice places to walk along the water. Sweet little hotels nearby.

Without children, I'd recomment driving the C?te d'Or wine country, or a trip to Vezelay via Dijon. That's a few hours, but lovely. You feel a million miles from Geneva, and its not that far.
