Before Geneva, I found a movie theatre which one could rent. They had a DVD player, a projector and a big screen. Lots of chairs.
You could rent the place for two hours, bring a DVD of your choice, invite your friends, and chill out watching great movies.... We watched things like Murder by Death, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, Barfuß, Elvis Has Left the Building, The Commitments, etc.
But, I have lots of other movies I'd like to watch, especially with (new) friends and on the big screen: Blues Brothers, Pulp Fiction, Breakfast Club, Rocky Horror Picture Show, etc.
So, does ANYONE out there in glocal land know a place where such an event could take place? Does someone have a nice living room and would be willing to invite 10-15 people to a showing? Or is there a bar/pub with a quiet room off to the side that this would work in?
I put this in the hands of the all-knowing glocals community.....there *must* be a place that fits the bill, no?

Hello Zonker,
I was recently invited to view a private movie, they had rented .......Cinéma SpoutnikPlace des Volontaires 4, 1204 Genève/GE022 328 09 26
Its not hi-class but would be ok space wise. I unfortunately do not know the rates.
Hope this helps
Regards
Jean
