Looking for other amateur photographers to organize short (weekend) photography trips.

I'm looking for a few amateur photographers who'd like to join me on short photography trips.


We could visit places such as Cinque Terre (Italy) or Saint-Paul-de-Vence (France, near Nice), or other interesting places you know. The idea is to share travel expenses (fuel and toll), and exchange ideas and knowledge. We could travel there on Saturday and return Sunday, so we have a late afternoon, evening and morning to take pictures.The first trip could be around mid-October, when the tourists have left and hotel rates should be low.


I'm looking for maybe 3-5 participants to keep it managable. Photography skill level doesn't matter, but a semi-decent camera (digital SLR, tripod) is a requirement. If you want to join send me a message or respond in this thread. I will then organize a meeting sometime the coming few weeks so we can meet to discuss the first trip.


About me:I  was a very active photographer about 10 years ago. Used to do analog Black&White photography, mainly cityscape and night photography. Recently bought a good digital camera but I haven't spent as much time with it as I'd like.

Sounds like it could be fun. I have only just arrived in Geneva for an internship, so I may need a little time to get settled, but in a week or two, I'd be up for a trip.


Although I am a professional photographer (mainly sports, concerts and journalism), I brought only a simple camera with me (Olympus XZ1). Should still be enough to get plenty decent pictures though.

I'd forgotten about this; posted it 2 months ago and since I didn't get a single response I figured no-one was interested. But I'm still interested.


Let's see if anyone else responds, and then maybe we can meet somewhere in the coming 1-2 weeks.
