There are a lot of good examples on-line as well and what most headhunters would recommend is to tailor your CV/cover letter to the job you are applying for.
The Swiss market is really small and recruiters ad HR usually look for applications which are an exact match to the job spec.
So you should look for advertisements and highligh / emphesize in your CV and cover letter the items wich are most important for the hiring company.

When looking for a new position last year, and redesigned my CV to reflect the almost 15 yrs experience and seniority, I found a lot of great idea on-line.

Reka shared excellent advice The most important thing is to have your application relevant to the requirements of the position you are applying for. and keep the CV short, cos the long ones have a higher chance of not getting read.
