Hey all, 

Is there anyone on this thread who feels confident enough to teach my son (9) some tennis basics in French? I'll happily pay you for your time. Over the weekend in Vessy is our fav spot. 

I want him to get an initial feel for the game. You don't have to be a qualified coach, but to know the basics. 

When I contact the pro coaches they want us to become members of their club etc, and it's not worth it for just 1 basic lesson.

I am 42, medium level player. I have stopped to play tennis a couple of yers ago due to injury, but I decided to restart again now as I always loved it.
 
I could play on the weekends: Friday evening, Saturday afternoon / evening, Sunday the whole day. I am a member in the Vevey tennis club which has many indoor and outdoor courts and has a breathtaking location overlooking the lake.. so would be ideal to go there.

I think very few people on glocals will match you! i was so fit at that time and i was struggling on every point. I've just recently moved to Switzerland and not sure how everything works here in relation to playing tennis. I was playing almost everyday through the Australian summer just gone and my  level would be intermediate/advanced. Could you let me know what I would need to do in order to have a hit with you.

ie: Do I need to be a member? and what type of membership ?

    Do courts need to be booked in advance? 

    And roughly how much would it cost?

I'm living in Bernex but happy to play wherever, cheers

Hi Scott, Gaudi, others -- I am in Geneva for the next month or so and would also like to play.  I'm R5/R6 level, 4.0-4.5 in the US.  (I think the conversion chart is inaccurate!).  Live in Planpalais but can go anywhere.  Let me know.

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to Geneva and looking for opportunities to play tennis (somehow) despite the cold weather.

My level is somewhere between intermediate and advanced - probably the latter previously (e.g. USTA rating 4.5), but have not played on a regular basis for 10 years due to work location and lack of facilities. 

I'm currently flexible to play during weekdays as well as weekends as I work from home.
