Hello,

We would like to find out if there are villages or small communities around Geneva, or in Switzerland or France that have a vibrant music and/or arts and/or outdoor culture; where families look after each other and where there is a shared sense of community. Ideally, it would be situated in the mountains, be close to a river or a lake and have its own school and market or grocery store.

I lived in Canada for many years, and know of two such communities, namely Nelson in British Colombia and Wakefield in Quebec. 

Does anyone know of such a village, or a semblance of it around Geneva, or in Switzerland or France? If you do, please write us.
