Looking to rent/borrow road bike for the summer

Hi there,

I am a Canadian student coming to Geneva for an internship from may 1-august 10 this summer. I am a rower training at the high performance provinical level in Canada and am looking for a road bike for the summer! I am so excited to cycle in Switzerland, and was wondering if anyone knew if it were possible to find a decent road bike to rent or borrow relatively inexpensively. I'm 5'6" so would need something on the smaller side.

If anyone needs a cycling buddy this summer, give me a shout!

Thanks so much,

Robyn

Only place that doesn't rent beaters is: http://www.bikeswitzerlandrentals.com/ (geneve roule is cheap, but so are their bikes).

You might want to try to buy second hand and sell when you leave - most cost effective:

richardo.ch

anibis.ch

Or buy new from France at www.decathlon.fr; or in geneva at athleticum or jumbo - but think of them as Sports Chek or Sears...  veloland.com will give you sticker shock.

Good luck!
