It sounds about right. They probably counted 1/2h labour at around 60 francs and another 50 for the oil, 10-15 for the oil filter.

The cheapest way is obviously to do it yourself in which case you only pay for the filter and oil. I think prices are pretty much the same in nearby France, say it's 10 - cheaper, ask yourself is it worth it with the distance and the time spent?

Heard that ROADY in Pays de Gex or near Annemasse has competitive prices. Look on the internet as most places will service your car by apointment only.

However, final price depends on the oil quantity and oil grade as well as filter model for your car make so provide all details to get right quote.

I have checked out SPEEDY on route de Chêne in Eaux-Vives for the replacement of my fan belt and pulley.  My Jeep is now safely at the Victoria Garage for the re-replacement of a smashed pulley and oil carter. They safely refuse to  pay for the damage done...thousands.  No hope in Court - Speedy Eaux-Vives (also named Centre Auto Eaux-Vives) are deeply bankrupt !  I can understand why...
