Rue du Marche, this Thursday, I think I read somewhere.
Thought they'd stopped having stores abroad?

The new Marks & Spencer store will open on April 27 at Rue du Marche 2. Apparently, the Geneva store is supposed to be the first of five franchises in Switzerland. Zurich is set to be next in line, with further stores planned for Bern, Lausanne and Basel.
They are run by the Greek Marinopoulos Group, which already operates around 30 M&S franchises in Greece and the Balkans.
According to the flyer which I received in mu postbox, purchases made between 27-29 April will receive a storewide 10% discount. And a surprist gift will also be presented to each client (while stocks lasts).
Happy shopping!

I am one of the architects that designed the new M&S (yay me). Let me know what you think of the place. BTW, there is no cafe, mainly because it would be hella expensive to ship food, but also because space is limited, so don't be too upset.
Also, there is an opening party from 5 to 8, but it may be by invite only.

Back home M&S is great. Nothing like its assortment of potato chips which come in small packages for those who can't control their eating. Lots of great food stuff.

Thats great, I can't wait to see the results of your work.
I am SO excited about the M&S opening... no more having to fly to London to buy underwear! now, dear dear GOL architect friend... can you swing us some invites to the opening party if it is indeed invite only? ;-)

I cannot provide invites to the store party. But the store is open for business now, and they are offering a 10% for the first three days of opening. Have fun!
