Mobile Phone Advice Needed

I've just started working in Geneva using my UK mobile and I'm looking for a new local sim card over here to stop the high roaming charges. As I've got a smart phone I use a lot of data and I'll be splitting my time between Switzerland and France so need to be able to roam between the two without getting stung. As I've already got a phone sim only will be fine and as I don't know how long I'm going to stay over here I don't want to enter a long contract.

What are the best options over here?

Ask Orange...they have occasional deals for high data users...

alternatively Vodafone links with Swisscom..so worth asking them as well.

I doubt you will escape roaming charges since both CH and Fr make a killing on the border area here...

"Pay as you go" is rubbish the moment you try and cross borders... the charges escalate to beyond idiot levels
