Moto Matriculation

I have just been told by the vehicle matriculation office in Carouge that the plates they despatched to me today will take 10 days to reach my address........ in Carouge!!

Is this normal? Do they go via Brazil? This is extraordinarily annoying, as I wanted to pick up my new motorbike on Saturday.

Maybe the 10 days is a worse case scenario and they will actually arrive tomorrow. Does anyone know?

Thanks

Always best to either go yourself and get them...if theyve not posted them yet I would call them and say you'll go over and collect, or ask the scooter firm (if in Geneva)  to get them for you.....

10 days does sound rather a long time though, and if you want to guarantee picking up the bike on Sat... even the cost of a taxi there and back is probably less heart wrenching than seeing the postman pass you by for 10 days...

Thanks Charlie - I was actually in there this afternoon for that very reason and they told me the plates had already left. I bought the bike from a dealer in Aargau, so I thought this would be easier. How naive!

Charlie is right, i just gone to there office in Carouge and they also gave me a new plate, when my old motorbike plaque was either stolen or came off. Its cost me like CHF 95- for a new one.
