@nickg: thanks for the hint. I will double check this issue first. I had no problem inside the EU, but well, lovely Switzerland.

I actually called them this morning... they change the rules all the time. Depends if it s a license obtained in a country they have a relation with. 

Also you must have been a resident in the country at the time you obtained it. And you only have 12 months to change it after beeing in switzerland. To be honest it s a messy situation in order to get the equivalence....

funny think is that should you now be in a position to change it BUT you have been here over a year and the time you asked they said you could not get the swiss equivalent license....I m guessing they ll say that you cant change it as you did not do it within the 12 months...
