Moving Companies
I am buying used furniture and I am looking for a cheap moving company, or private businesses. Does anybody have any contacts for moving companies?

Thanks,

Sharon

Hey Sharon,

L&L Moving are OK on prices. Although any pro company - like them - will not be cheap.

Another option you can try is to rent a van for a day, and then see if any big strong men on glocals.com might be willing to come help you with the schlliping around for a day. I've seen other people doing it, and I think it sometimes works...(-: I'd be willing to help.

Good luck,

Nir

Hi Sharon,

I do moving work on evenings and weekends with a transport van for 45 Francs an hour + 1 Franc per kilometer. I help load and unload as well. If interested, you can contact me via my glocals profile.

Cheers,

Jered

For anyone with moving needs - I urge you to contact/use Jered (see above reply). We used him in April, and it worked out great!! I was about to reserve a van, same size as Jered's, from Europcar, and it would have cost me about 300 francs for 1 day. Jered worked really hard and fast, loading up our boxes from storage and unloading at the new site (with help from my husband and son), and our job was done in one hour for 75 francs. HIs van accomodated at least 40 boxes plus other things shoved in the cracks. He was a real pleasure to work with; I highly recommend him.
