Moving a piano - advice needed, please! :-)

Hi there,

I´m looking for a moving company (insured though), or maybe a piano vendor who is able to move a small piano from one place to another within one village.

I´ve contacted quite a few companies but they don´t do "piano business" or those who do gave me an enormous price quote!!! :-(

Thanks a lot for your advice in case you might have a good idea! :-)

If the piano is upright, and there are no stairs involved, you may be able to do it yourself. I transported mine on a trailer (in good weather and a very short distance) while a friend borrowed a small van. Four strong people (without back problems), and something to roll it on is necessary.

Another friend used the services of a piano shop. I think it's on rue de Madeline or Rotisserie. They carried his grand piano on their back, up to the fourth floor. I think all piano vendors will perform such transport.

Hi,

I moved my piano with this company and they are professionals:

The company is in France and the price is fair. Not sure they speak English...

Cheers
