Need contacts and advice from a lawyer in geneva dealing with Naturalizing (citizenship) to Switzerland...

My wife and I need to decide on where to Naturalize. She has been living in Switzerland for 10 years now (with student permit B) and as far as we know after 12 years she can apply for citizenship. It seems she might qualify for that if we stay 2 more years in Geneva.


However we also have option to immigrate to the US. We need to make an informed decision and I was hoping to get help form a Swiss immigration lawyer/ expert on this. We really need solid advice that is reliable as we will be moving around with family.


If anyone has any idea of who might be an expert on this or has gone through the process recently or contacts for good lawyer I will appreciate it.

Hello, if you are looking to learn about yr rights and obligations, no need for a lawyer. simple go to the "service cantonal des naturalisations". good luck

As a cheap start, you could try going to the Permanence de l'ordre des Avocats


in Geneva. It's a walk in place and will cost you a mere 60 francs for a 45 minute consultation. The Lawyers there are people who are properly qualified and just go there once a week from there day jobs.  I went recently and got some excellent advice, and also some legal contacts for the matter I wished to discuss
