Need electrician for switch on Swisscom connection

Can anyone recommend an (English or German) electrician? I need someone to switch on my Swisscom TV-internet-phone connection in the building. Either an individual looking for extra money or an electrical company in Geneva that can do it? It`ll take maybe only 1 hour.

Rachel, was there previously a telephone installed in the house/apartment? if so, then Swisscom will "turn on" your line from their end. They provide everything up to the connection in the building or apartment.

If the previous occupant had telephone service, then you shouldn't need to do anything else....

I can come have a look, if you want. Where are you located?

If you are moving into a new building and there was no previous tenant, we used El Top. They were the official electricians on the building site and cost about 100 CHF

There was a previous tenant, but she didn`t use a landline phone or wireless internet.

I`m wondering that if I use an electrician, then I may have to also coordinate with the concierge because the electrical box (or whatever he needs to see) might be in the basement or locked or something? I`m guessing that whatever he needs to see isn`t actually inside my flat.

I would ask the concierge or the regie for the name of the tenant before the previous one. If your building is somewhat old, i am sure one of the preceding tenants had a line. Have you simply tried plugging in your phone?
