Neighborhood Resident Rate for Parking Place in Garage?

Hi Everyone --

I have heard that one can get a "neighborhood resident" rate in parking garages (like the Rue des Alpes garage, for instance). Does anyone know how to go about that / what you need to show them to prove that you live in the area?

Don't know about a "resident rate" for public parking garages but all public parking issues (ie: abonnements and macarons) are handled by the Fondation des Parkings http://www.ge.ch/parkings/parkings_habitants/alpes.html

I recently went through the "macaron" experience and had to provide a copy of my permis gris and permis C in order to get it.
