Hello! Let us introduce our blog and ourselves. We are Anahita and Tara, we are two young girls now calling Geneva home. At first Geneva charmed us, then it frustrated us, but now we have finally found a Geneva that inspires us. A city where first impressions consist of watches, bankers and wealth, but delve beneath the surface and go off the beaten track and you will find a city filled with hidden gems, brimming with creativity and culture.

We set up this blog in order to show you, our readers this exciting, artistic and creative city, the places we love to frequent and our new fabulous finds.

Oh Katherine, I feel for you, my cousin moved to Australia in Jan., and it was very very difficult for her in the beginning. Now she found some friends and things are much better :)

I am from Australia also (Brisbane) and Anahita (the other half of Dear Geneva) is from Norway. We have both been living in Geneva for over a year now and still loving it.

What made you come to Geneva? I hope you are enjoying it so far, you arrived at the right time, it is normally really beautiful in September.

Nice to 'meet' another Australian in Geneva! I was wondering if someone from home was involved in the blog...the places you have found seem like the kind of places I would want to hunt down too - the quaint cafés and vintage shopping!

I have moved here to work as an intern with a human rights NGO for at least 6 months. What brought you to Geneva? Do you plan on staying?

So far I love it here. Hoping to meet some people with a bit of a foundation here, so far I have just been meeting interns that are in and out of Geneva all the time. They are all lovely! But I'm interested in getting a bit more of a 'locals' feel for Geneva.

Hello Tara, I have been looking at glocals for someone who can help me out with advice on doing a website on Wordpress. I am not overly brilliant on the pc and need some help with the basics. Do you know of anzone or could i pay for some of your time if you can do it?

I am also from Australia (Canberra) and moved here three weeks ago. These blogs are great. I started one when I came here for a holiday in 2006 and am thinking about continuing it, but have been too busy exploring and settling in to write. Somehow it is easier to procrastinate!.
